36 weeks 3 days

Well, ladies, I'm on bed rest. I've had some serious excessive swelling and rises in my blood pressure so I'm off work until this baby comes. I'm a fingertip dilated but the doc doesn't think this baby is coming any time soon. And wow, do they really have to reach up that far to check your cervix??? I swear I could feel his hand in my throat. The baby's heart rate was much higher than what it normally is and it kind of concerned me but no one else was concerned so I ate my fears. Next appointment, next Thursday. What ever am I going to do on three weeks of bed rest???? Hmmm, I'll have to get some good books to read.

Sorry about being on bedrest, I know it must be hard to just wait and wonder when this baby will come. Make sure you do leg and arm exercises to keep everything in shape for delivery. Hopefully your blood pressure will get lower and the baby's heartrate will settle down. I am glad that you don't have to work anymore, try to rest as much as you can.

Ugh...I'm glad that you're not working seven days a week but bed rest is gonna be hard I'm sure!!

Books...lets see I just read the Mark of the Lion series by Francine Rivers (Couldn't put down the first two...last one was okay...the first one is a little crazy in the beginning...just skip through that to get to the love story *wink*) and I just saw a preview for The Time Travelers Wife so I just bought that one to read...

Hope these three weeks are tolerable...you're almost there!!!

ugh - sorry to hear that you have to be on bed rest - load up on some fave movies and books and hopefully these next 3 weeks will fly by -- just think how much it will be SO worth it in the end! plus, maybe it's God's way of saying 'get all the rest you can now b/c you won't be sleeping much when baby comes!' ;)

Good books, word searches, and a lap top computer! :) It goes faster than you might think when you have something that you are pulling for. Hope the little lady holds out for a few more weeks. :) Good luck!

Bummer about the bedrest but your so close. That should be reassuring. I would get lots of good movies and books and a laptop. I hope you enjoy your rest time and that you and the baby stay healthy.

Sorry about the bed rest. I was on it for three and a half weeks with my son and it was tough. Hang in there - you are so close to term that it won't last too long.

How are you holding up with bedrest? It sounds so lovely in theory, but I'm sure it is tedious and uncomfortable. I hope it is helping with the bp. My doc told me this week she won't let me hit my due date due to bp and will induce during the 39th week. Hopefully you don't have to wait too long...
