1st Trip to the Zoo

This past Friday I took off of work early and we packed up the car and headed to the zoo. I totally dislike the Zoo, we always seemed to have field trips there when I was little and I never liked it and can distinctly remember throwing up my lunch on one specific trip to the zoo. I am not an outdoorsy person by any stretch of the imagination and am quite possibly the most girlie girl when it comes to animals and bugs. They creep me out. But and this is a very big but, there is not one thing on this earth that I won't do for my daughter, so to the zoo we went. It's not like Randi said to me, "Mom, you know what I'd really like to do today? I'd like to go to the zoo." But being as she is only 10 months old, there are very limited things that she "likes" to do and she loves seeing animals. We stand out on our deck and watch the squirrels and birds and rabbits and she just loves it. She always just watches in amazement so I thought for sure she'd love going to the zoo. It was a beautiful day on Friday and it wasn't too crowded and she did love the zoo. She loved being around all the people, she loved seeing the geese and loved taking a ride on the train. We were only there two hours but she enjoyed the full two hours and that made it an awesome day. Just minutes of getting into the car and she was passed out from all the excitement. I'm glad she had a good time and I'm glad that I did not throw up my lunch. :0

What great pictures! I'm an outdoor junkie!! Probably the least girlie girl ever. Watch, I end up with a super feminine girl and you end up with a animal/bug loving one!! Hahaha!!!

Wonderful pictures!!!

We love going to the zoo. All my kids, no matter what the age, love spending time there. Honestly, a family membership is the best gift!!

She is so cute. I can't believe how big she's getting. I'm glad she enjoyed the zoo. You'll definitely have to grow to like it. It sounds like you will be there more often :)

P.S I thought I already posted on this one so if I did. Sorry.

Hi Ashley, I love the flower headband in her hair. So precious! What zoo did you end up going to? We live pretty close to the Cleveland zoo, I am really looking forward to taking Jillian there one day. Talk to you soon!

Wanted to respond to your questions about my half marathon training. No I did not loose weight....but I did go down a size in clothing. I was not fit or out of shape either one. Probably just somewhere in the middle. I would lean more towards in shape than out of shape tho. You should start looking at a 5K. You could do the "couch to 5K training program"....and train with that sweet baby I just saw on your blog!!!! Let me know if you do.

Blessings, Jennifer

To answer your questions, the midwife(s) took care of everything. They did the APGAR & measurements the day Addy was born then came back the following day to check on us both, then again 2 days later to do Addy's PKU, foot prints and birth certificate. She was also qualified to do the Vit K & Hep B shot if I wanted (which I didn't) and to sew me up (but my tear was small enough not to). Midwives in NY state don't need to be attended by Dr's as they themselves have all the necessary qualifications.

I didn't realize you were starting to post again!! YAYYYYAYAYYAY!!!!!!! For some reason they're not going into my feed...I'll have to check that out!!! You look great and Randi is just beautiful! She was way too cute riding around on her little popcorn popper thing!

Good job going to the zoo momma! I'm sure she LOVED it!! I can't wait until my kids are old enough to want to do stuff like that!
